It's a popular flight! I took my friend and his wife for a flight on Fathers day. My plan was to do the Harbour Scenic then Victor 1 to YWOL for lunch. For some reason I thought I had better make a booking rather than just turn up at the Aviators Lounge at YWOL, So i gave them a call only to find out they had been booked out for 2 months! WOW... Alot of dads must have been shouted a flight and lunch!

A couple of friends from the US were in town (Michael and David) so I decided to give them the best view of Sydney Possible. We took off at around 920am this morning after a delay on the ground awaiting clearance to take off and tracked YSBK to Parramatta where I first made contact with Sydney Terminal for my airways clearance. Then tracked to Hornsby and accross to Long Reef where I was told to talk to Sydney Departures, they gave me my clearance and as usual, the view was amazing!

Well.... what a fantastic flight!
It's a shame that 2 of the groups of friends decided not to go, so I ended up with a group of 3 friends and we had an excellent flight. I also met Arrowpilot at the front desk at Schofields Flying Club... doing a fine job he was too!

Last night I went and did night circuits with Scofields Flying Club. What a great experience. I have never flown at night and it amazed me how different it was to land an aircraft at night. I was please with my landings (although a little heavy)... we did have 4 pax and fuel to the tabs...

After much anticipation and preperation, I awoke this morning and checked the area forecast to find that low cloud was forecast for most of area 21 east of the ranges! I checked the METAR reports enroute and it was telling a more optomistic story, so i thought I might be in with a chance come 2pm (this was my booking time).

Well, after a few years break, I am getting back into the left hand seat. I renewed my medical and got an ASIC last October, and then one thing led to another and never got back in the air!
